Marquette University has officially begun its search for a new executive vice president for operations, and President Michael R. Lovell has named a search committee to lead the efforts. President Lovell announced the new position last month as part of a strategic executive realignment.
The search committee will be co-chaired by Dr. Daniel Myers, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, and Darren Jackson, Bus Ad ’86, trustee emeritus and retired president and CEO of Advance Auto Parts. Committee members include Todd Adams, university trustee and president and CEO of Rexnord Corporation; Janis Orlowski, M.D., Eng ’78, university trustee and chief health care officer for the Association of American Medical Colleges; and Mary Jo Wiemiller, academic senate representative and chair and clinical associate professor of Physician Assistant Studies.
The university has retained executive search firm Isaacson, Miller to assist with the search. Marquette has worked with Isaacson, Miller on a variety of searches, including for the provost, the deans of arts and sciences and business, and the vice president for student affairs. The firm recently held listening sessions with President Lovell, Provost Myers, Jackson and with those who will report directly to the new executive vice president for operations.
