The inaugural Community Engagement Symposium will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15. The event will provide community organizations, faculty and staff members the chance to engage in dialogue about, and networking related to, mutually beneficial, bidirectional research and learning opportunities, as well as the necessary tools and resources to support and strengthen partnerships. The symposium will feature keynote speaker Dr. Ira Harkavy, associate vice president and founding director of the Netter Center for Community Partnerships at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as breakout sessions, a poster display and a networking reception. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
The Office of Community Engagement, along with the Center for Teaching and Learning—Service Learning Program, Office of Public Affairs and Office of Research Sponsored Programs, is pleased to co-sponsor various awards in recognition of outstanding contributions to the well-being of the community.
