The Latina/o Well-Being Research Initiative and Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion will host Dr. William Perez Monday, March 7, at 4:30 p.m. in Marquette Hall 100. Perez will present, “Americans by Heart: Undocumented Students and the Perils of Educational Access.”
Perez’s research focuses on Latino academic achievement and higher education access. He is recognized as one of the nation’s leading experts on undocumented students. His book, “We Are Americans: Un-documented Students Pursuing the American Dream,” was awarded the 2009 Mildred Garcia Prize for Excellence in Research by the Association for the Study of Higher Education.
