The Office of Research and Innovation today launched a new website that centralizes resources for faculty, staff and students who are interested and involved in research, as well as the various innovation initiatives underway.
The site features a directory of funding mechanisms, as well as a listing of partners and external resources. It also serves as a front door to the programs and offices that report to the Office of Research and Innovation, including the Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, the Office of Research Compliance and social innovation.
The Office of Research and Innovation was created in January 2015 to advance the university’s strategic initiatives around research and innovation, including its goal to double research funding over the next five years, and to provide an infrastructure that supports idea generation, entrepreneurship and commercialization across campus. The office oversees a variety of functional areas, including research compliance and sponsored programs, and several key initiatives, such as the university-wide strategic innovation fund, social innovation and Marquette’s presence at the Global Water Center.
