Marquette continues to grow its efforts to provide an educational environment that preserves the safety and dignity of its community members. A revised Title IX Sexual Harassment, and Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct Policy is now available for faculty, staff and students to review online.
In addition, the university and the Near West Side Partners are sponsoring a series of events to raise awareness this week:
- Officers from the Marquette University Police Department will be wearing teal lapel ribbons to support those affected by domestic violence.
- McCormick Hall and other buildings throughout the Near West Side neighborhood will display teal lighting.
- The 13th Annual O’Donnell Hall Teeter-Totter-a-Thon runs through Sunday.
- NWSP Teal Ribbons: Field of Ribbons display will be placed in the empty lot at 27th Street and Wisconsin Avenue. One-hundred twenty teal ribbons, each representing 100,000 individuals, will depict the 12 million men and women affected by domestic violence each year. The ribbons will be placed in the field this week.
