The University Innovation Council, which is charged with developing and implementing the application process for the strategic innovation fund, will host an innovation ideas fest and networking event Wednesday, Jan. 14, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the AMU Ballroom C/D. The event will include an overview of the application process, as well as the opportunity to explore potential project ideas and connect with collaborators.
The work of the University Innovation Council is being coordinated by Dr. Jeanne Hossenlopp, vice provost for research and dean of the Graduate School. The council is calling for pre-proposals from individuals or teams (faculty, staff and students are all eligible) who wish to develop innovative ideas that support one or more themes of Beyond Boundaries, the university’s strategic plan.
Pre-proposal requirements are available online, and all pre-proposals must be submitted via online. Pre-proposals are required for participation in this year’s fund competition. The submission deadline is Friday, Feb. 6. A complete timeline for the strategic innovation fund process is also available online.
The event is open to all students, faculty and staff. Pre-registration is not required, but individuals are encouraged to share their ideas or interests in advance online.
